Rain

Rain

A Poem by Alisa Js

toss me out some other way, won't you?
while the blood runs red
with this knife stuck in my back

listening intently for kind understanding
none was found here.
reckless hack slashed that strong foundation
I was certain existed through so many tears
until today

my only hope is to fold into myself
slip out of this rain,
forget the stain
beyond the shock
dumbfounded,
never to return

I will move forward
and soar above this mourning song,
with its sad lamentations.
remember this anguish no more

why bother with toxic
such a misuse of brain matter

time is too precious
our days move us further...

let us live our lives in love
bathed in gratitude
cherishing each moment
anew...

I just watched the documentary "Cutie and the Boxer" and this one reminds me of the method by which Shinohara (?) paints. He punches at the canvas with boxing gloves and black magic....his wife and her amazing patience...pissed off as she has lived in a loving place in his shadow, desperate for her own artistic recognition...a worthy painter herself. No doubt she will kill him in his sleep. Wild ....this new step and direction you have taken is refreshing and filled with all the wonderful skips that mental anguish creates in poetry. You are almost screaming too fast for the page so I say scream louder and well done!

:: ah... sometimes we have to let go... if we can't take it... :: love can sustain itself provided we nourish it with passion and compassion... the moment either begins to diminish, there's excessive pain... and it's hard to sustain one's momentum...

:: a very profound and also inspiring piece, sensitive alisa...

:: the privilege is all mine, dear perceptive poetess... :)
slipping out of the rain, getting rid of the stain...starting over with someone who actually gives us understanding ...real love...that makes us forget the anguish.
