Meanings

Meanings

A Poem by Alisa Js

They poked at the same words, with the same sounds
even though to each of them,
those same words meant something different.
This caused great confusion inside the conversation shared.

I listened from a distance
As I always do,
An observer of beings, I am

If I say I've loved you for all time
Is that a lie?
Or is it true in my world, from my view
Upon this lonely hill

The crowd grew restless
Pressed and squeezed, bursting now with consternation
Not knowing what to expect next, suddenly everyone scattered
Like popcorn in a thunderstorm
What a sight to see

Meanings

Each and everyone of them...

Hello P :-)

Thank you! The smoky flavor within a nutshell...delicious...it's a good thing not to waste space!

Lol

Lifeboat, eh? I could use one...on second thought, it may be right beside me in this inflatable...

:-)

In a small and darkened room, I felt tomorrow's whispering...

Catch up soon.

Nothing ever quite like the enlightening taste that lingers from sharing perception and equal space within a nutshell. Gives the tongue and room a broad and smoky flavor.
Too long now since I've watched that old black and white movie Lifeboat. Thanks for the reminder and "popcorn". I LOVED this one A.

The character in the poem is trying to say that each head is a different world.

:: it's a beautiful piece, alisa... i so know what you mean... the way words get twisted and misinterpreted or simply interpreted differently from another perspective causes so much confusion... and at times... even a lot of pain...

:: the stanza about the "crowd" actually reminds me of the recent riots in a district which is very close to where i live... people acted in an impulsive way... misunderstood each other and many people died... it's very sad...
