'Meditate'
Alisa Js,
Your above poem is the culmination of a person seeking a place to just be quiet. Life is so full of many experiences which pull at the heart and mind. It can get chaotic and stressed within us. I loved the imagery presented as you find time to relax and unwind.
'searching the landscape
altering now
skewed 45 degrees, images gliding in silent synchronicity
sighing beyond the left hill'
Peaceful feeling to this piece.
I appreciate it amidst our frantic pace.
Blessings,
Kathy
I often find myself in this state of being--sometimes while freewriting on my computer late at night. You hit that trance-state.
Love the "size down" expression and the last line.
The one word that pokes out and might be smoothed over is "prostrate." There could be a time and place for "prostrate" in poetry, but that term disturbs the flow when I read your poem out loud.
Hello from across land and sea on this great day! I am deeply touched by your words of encouragement and am grateful for them.
As writers, I believe we travel in the recesses of the mind among other places, testing boundaries whether they be emotional, visual, metaphysical, physical, personal, hypothetical, etc. etc. with the goal of transmitting them to written form.
This piece was one such exercise.
Thank you again for your time, I appreciate you.
alisa :-)

~ i dunno how i missed your beautiful response... ~ you're very welcome... :)
~ i find your poetry very fascinating... it's like a journey... this particularly piece takes the reader into the deepest realms of thought and contemplation... "the random fire scrawl" is a remarkable expression... "tranquility" is indeed a crazy cookie... sometimes it finds itself in "tranquility" and sometimes in "fire"... perhaps the fire can be traced to the search for a purpose... an abode where tranquility may rest...contented but not in a state of inertia... ~ just my thoughts...
