The other world

Always there yet always hidden lie the secrets this world holds. Those who know them are condemned to a life of lies or a life of insanity and disbelief - there is no other path. The secrets are, however, beautiful. An entirely new world comes into existence for the ones who know what is hidden.

The secrets feel alive. It is as if they breathe on their own, live on their own, twisting and growing into something wonderful. Something magical. In their presence it is as if nothing exists, yet everything is right there simply an arm away. There is no meaning to anything, yet it feels like everything finally has a purpose.

To those who cannot reach the secrets understanding them is a futile attempt. They are impossible.

To those who yearn to uncover the secrets even the tiniest opening into this other world feels like a calling home. For only a second everything clicks into place; it sounds perfect, but it is indescribable. Outsiders will not and cannot comprehend the true extent of the feeling. They can barely scrape the surface.

It is, however, not always easy to uncover the secrets even though one might desperately yearn to find something magical in an otherwise ordinary world. It is true that just a quick glimpse into the other world will be beyond one’s imagination, but one needs to do more than simply wish to stumble upon something strange.

Outsiders will never be able to uncover the secrets, for they lack one thing: a want to believe. This still doesn’t mean that believing will lead you to something extraordinary, instead, you have to work for it.

Imagine, how much is a whole entire new world worth? How much time are you willing to dedicate to know the priceless secrets, if a price, which is a concept of our known society, can be placed on something beyond it?

On the rare occasion a fortunate, or perhaps misfortunate, soul will indeed be caught by surprise by the incredible simply due to chance - right place at the right time, or maybe right place at the wrong time. Everyone won’t accept change happily.

Most of the time people will find a key. Some keys are more difficult to acquire, requiring plenty of time either studying or exploring or both. Other keys appear when reaching into a hole in the wall trying to recover a lost earring. The keys have a mind of their own, and come from the other world. They are unpredictable and the logic behind them is impossible puzzle away, yet that’s precisely what makes it all so magical. One thing about the keys is certain though: when you find one, you will recognize it, and you will know when and how to use it. That has never failed.

And as long as one isn’t an outsider, a world of secrets is waiting to be unlocked.
