Expansion of Forever

Expansion of Forever

A Poem by Alice Stobart

The idea of forever, previously torturous;

It now seems not enough.

Time was never of the essence, always

Monotonously

Ticking

By "

Endlessly waiting for something better.

Now, if flies; there are too few seconds

To spend next to him; the clock

Steals moments and turns them to memories.

How many memories can be made in forever?

And what when we both stop breathing;

Do we keep each other even then?

If feelings are immortal then

Forever just expanded.
