An organic account of last night. Longest one yet, I think. On here, that is.
I've been away for a while, but I promise I will return all the replies and reviews later when life and my 'to do' lists calm down a bit. I just felt a need to share.

"But I just wanted to look
at the constellation in your eyes."
That line brought back the proverbial lump in the throat one gets whenever a situation like this arrives...the hesitation that consumes the moment is monumental. You made me feel like it was me, and it was, once upon a time.
There is so much weight to those three little words, so much commitment. But we really need to say them...for they really need to be heard. Life is too short to miss such an opportunity that may never come again.

Exhale...there is a dull ache but it's more of a caress. I love how deeply vivid you are it's bright but not screaming for ones attention...there a gentleness in this voice...it's reflective in each line. They are each intoxicating and rich in imagery breathing life with your word choice. A stunningly intimate read. Thank you for dropping by my work, I might not have come across this otherwise. R x

Sometimes beautiful just doesn't quite say it, this was also interesting, passionate and yet entertaining.
For an example, your scenes (saying imagery just wouldn't cut it) were so powerful. I could see everything so clearly. But I love how the characters were speechless, enabling their actions to speak so loud to the reader. And the details about their eyes, posture, and surroundings, like surrounded by sheets on the sofa or in the doorway, made me feel like I was in a Kodiak moment.
The end was strong to read, so powerful, "those three words we didn't dare speak."
Wow Alice, I loved this! :)
This is another great write from you.

You have no idea how happy it makes me to have you call them "scenes" and see you paid attention to the detail :). I love my writing as if I used a paintbrush instead of a pen, and my main focus is emotions. And like they say: sometimes silence can say more than words can!
Hehe, the ending links to another short poem I have on here: "scribbled on hotel stationery dated 20/11/2015" . I love having links between my writings. I view it as one whole conceptual project.
Thank you once again for reading, Cyprian. Always a delight to read your flattering reviews :)

I like how you base your poems on your life. Oh okay, I just read that other poem of yours, I see the link, that's pretty cool.
Sigh.....heartbreaking but in a nicely feeling way. I love those candid, straightforward but truly descriptions of the insights of your mind and heart, you conjure up clear, vivid, picturesque scenes like in a movie. Love that, love this one.

I make it a mission to include the reader in the scene and to bring them nothing but honesty. Thank you so much for stopping by. It means so much coming from you.
As is always the case with your writings, I tend to feel as if I'm the second or third-person present, onlooking as you live out these events. They're honestly that vivid to me, and I'd imagine many other readers.
I really sat down and had to read this one over, a compliment to you. Great work, Alice. :)

There's definitely something old but something pretty new; something borrowed and something very, very blue.
