Self Glory

Self Glory

A Poem by Alice SeaAnna Hinkle
"

I wrote this such a long time ago...

"
You narcissistic little devil. I watch you pluck every single petal of the rose, and feed them into your own dirt-filled mouth. You steal the clouds from the sky. And in the nights, I hear you mock the innocent. Laughing at the ones who don't envy themselves like you do. Smoke that hookah. Beat those children. Eat those roses. Dance around in the waters. Graceful little liar. I bet you'd do it all over again. Selfish little disgrace to humanity. Fall through your own cloud of happiness. I'll laugh. But, watch over the innocent.
