Beautiful, Fake, Love
A Poem by
Protect Me Demons That Come At Night
This is a collab poem with Chloe, Aaron, Danny and Si33d.
All of your lies, we all
fell for them.
All of the times you
said sweet things, we
believed you.
But where are you
now, darling?
But who are you
sleeping with tonight?
Who are you,
are you this
stranger, or are
you this person that
I thought I knew?
Now, I'm glad you got
a broken heart.
Now you can feel
everything I felt.
Because I've been trying
to fix mine from
the start.
I cried every night over
you.
I thought your lies
were true.
But you are still here.
You never left you
live in my head.
Your body's dead
your a word
instead.
Did you ever die?
Did you ever really
leave?
Or did you
love me?
In my sleep I
repeat it.
In my dreams you
are still here but
what if you don't
love me?
Then who am I?
But now that you've
been shot dead,
I have a new surprise.
I understand it
completely.
You're just too big
of a wimp.
You're just too afraid
of the lies and times
and the words and curses.
But you will miss me.
When you play pretend.
You will regret it.
All of the lies and all
of the rumors you
will regret it.
It will hurt you more
than it hurt me.

The best part of poetry from True Poets is when it makes little sense to the average reader. Every once in a while, you'll get a reader that is so emotionally struck, so enthralled by the poet's work that they spend their time analyzing and enjoying the mystery and feeling as they should. Those readers are worth the criticism and misunderstanding- always. Really great write, my friend, truly.

I loved the poem. I can't believe so many people wrote this together. It flows really well.

It makes sense...and it is a great write...and there is a lot of built up anger within this poem. I loved it though. Good job. Thanks for sharing.
