Peeling WaxA Poem by SamiHere is what I remember, The open wounded sky and the way the Stardust gravitated towards you and the Constellations In your skin Midnight lulls never took you in, and Mortality
did not frighten you For you died a new death everyday Long winds brushed past but never Extinguished
this flame And peeling wax. This candle burned a lifetime and this burn
to Our skin is what we crave until we Descend
into Ashes and no longer have to worry About
dying. This kind of strength, To fervently abandon all fear is Why I
think I craved you. © 2013 Sami |
