Bruised ego

Swallowed pride

you like to shove dominance in my face

and I always wondered why

do you feel out of control

or are you simply an a*****e

you hold me so tight, please just let me go

do you ever wonder at night, if your even doing it right

this thing called parenthood

you never had any role models, you were never my role model

through the painful days 

through the hardship nights

we made it through the trenches, barely with our lives

you've caused too many tears 

and neglected my worth

why don't you seem to care

about your own daughter's worth

This is a very painful piece and a difficult place of mind to be in. Know that you are stronger than you think, build and rely on that, I’ve been there, survived it, and became a better person for it and so can you.
