Rock Bottom

This is a poem about something that occurred in my past, It was a rough time for me. I was in a bad situation, that I got out of. It was my "Rock Bottom".

Dead inside

     Is what I thought

    went through the motions

       inside and out

    he hit me, 

an choked me, 

an pulled me by my hair,

    he did It all without any care

     I held In my tears

     I wouldn't dare show fear

      cause If I did 

     he'd repeat the actions I so immensely feared

      I learned to obey

      and just say okay

      did so many things I'm not proud to say

      I stood by

an watched myself die Inside

       saw so many things I'm surprised I still cry at night

        I got out early, It could've been worse

        though everyday i'm terrified they'll find me 

an I'll end up dead In a hearse
