My Forbidden Fruit

In this poem, I use metaphors to describe a relationship I once had. An ex and my father. It's safe to say the relationship was complicated.

He was my forbidden fruit

god said thou may have any fruit of your choosing

   but not this one

   for he is forbidden

out of the millions of different type of fruit 

   I only wanted him

 not because It was rebellious

  but because he lit the fire inside me

    I thought to be forever blown out
