I hate the rain

I hate the rain

A Poem by Alex Zynder

I hate the rain-
I hate the rain!
Fingers and toes
Shriveled and soaked
Bones groan
Body shivers
'til clouds of grey
Are Pushed away
And all the flowers glitter

Love the simplicity of movement and language in this piece. It leaves room for the mind to wander: chances are the "rain" is just rain in the author's mind, but the reader can interpret as struggle, pain, disaster, depression....all these thins that start as external "soaking" and then become internal "shiver" and then, thankfully, comes the healing. Good stuff! Cheers!
