Late Night Rain

a little late night writing

My roof is under a waterfall

The rain tries to shush me

Making a quiet hiss

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The rain has been let out

So suddenly, fierce and hard

Like tears held in for far too long

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Thunder bemoans the falling torrent

The loudest of all whimpers

Despairingly Harmonious 

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Our moans intertwine

And though we both weep

The rain still helps me try to sleep

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Beautiful. To me two children convincing themselves there is nothing really to fear - but maybe there is. "Thunder bemoans" and "despairingly harmonious" appear to me wisdom with child like insight, wonderful insight.

This is just magical. I have often though to of the therepeutic experience of sleeping while it rains...only you must not get wet. lol........thanks for capturing this moment so well .
