When we are so unhappy...

When we are so unhappy...

A Poem by Alex Thurley-Ratcliff
"

In the kitchen at Moat Farm, Suffolk 30 December 1994

"

When the sun shines

Obliquely across

The scattered utensils of our lives -

How is it golden my love?

How does it live? -

It blooms like a flower-thing

Making the ordinary shimmer.

Light does this -

Let it in and the dirty windows

Dishes and assorted jumble of our hearts

Are tinged with gold, life, light.

Strange that I should see this

When we are so unhappy.

I hate reviewing work like this for fear of spoiling it's movement and resting place. However, I needed to tell you how much I appreciate this write.
