The Brightest Light

The Brightest Light

A Poem by AlexMrrqn

The brightest light never fades.

You are my queen, my shining star.

The heavens open up. You ride in on ocean waves.

We meet at the shore as the tides collide.

We embrace.

You doubt whether we should be together.

I convince you otherwise.

Our bodies entangle and i tell you "I love you".

You don’t respond.

I doubt whether we should be together.

You fade away.

The bright lights can be deceiving.
