When the clouds block the sun and I forget how to breathe,
My eyes shut and I begin to leave,
Escape to my most feared nightmares,
All of my hopes tumble down the stairs,
I see the moon and only the moon,
Why would heartbreak arrive so soon?

You left a hickey where my heart used to be,
All of the life has been drained out of me,

I make a free fall from the moon to the ground,
All my bones break and I'm still told it's okay,
A broken bone always heals anyway.
But that's not always the case,
Because my bones are shattered like a broken vase,
