what little insignificance...

what little insignificance...

A Story by Alexis Ryan

what little insignificance

there’s a little spot
on the left side of your mouth
that creeps into a smile
but only if I ask the stars
just right…

there’s a twisted tree
on top of twelve mile
that’s right next to
the rock where last
I loved you...

insignificant so,
my heart yearns for
straight lines
as i can't comrehend
life's complexities.
