because a fool knows a fool...

because a fool knows a fool...

A Story by Alexis Ryan
"

this piece is completely rash, uncomplicates and has been done a thousand times before... nevertheless, it still feels good to get these thoughts on paper...

"

my mind runs,
blanketed by some
past
that I’ve only just discovered.

I knew it all along.

I heard it in your voice,
saw it in your eyes
and felt it when you laid your hands upon me.

I was not her. and I am not now. and I never
will I be.

yet, somehow, you swept me off my feet
and away from what I knew,
and now my life is blanketed in lies and
i don't know at which end lay the truth.
(breath)

sleep no longer adheres to my mind-
it wraps itself, lightly, only around my eyes…

I don’t even know you.
