Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Somewhere Beyond the Sea

A Story by Alexis Mizell

Problems. Why, I have my fair share. Life is an uneasy sea of restless souls searching for something, something that makes this whole time here worth while. What that something is no one knows, yet we all search for it. Ups, downs- its kinda like a rollercoaster in that way except life's rollercoaster is one you don't get off of until you die. Death. Everyone's scared of it (even if you say you aren't you know deep inside you are) because its the only thing in life we really know nothing about until, of course, it happens to you but even then its not like trying the newest lip gloss and being able to gossip about it with your friends. Death is...death, the end of you and were all hopping that some how when this happens our legacy (or the legacy we think we have) will be carried on either through our childen or by some sort of big accomplishment. Yeah, life is rough, hard, and undetermined. If you believe in a God then you probably have hope in life, hope that when its all summed up and signed with a period that it will have been for a reason. If you don't believe in a God or are unsure then you kinda just go through the motions set by society. Society tells us to strive to be perfect, to be the fairytale, and make your dreams come true. You'd think they'd give us a handbook! But no, no handbook not even a lost cheat sheet few find and use. You just wing it and wish that somehow the things you see when you close your eyes come true. Thats where I am. Lost in the fairytales and the dreams that I wish, hope, and pray come true. I don't know how to make them come true because I am a lost sheep wandering through the forest with blinders on but maybe the hearder will find me and stear me to the path I should be on. Maybe is a useless word. Who thought of it? Maybe means niether yes or no. Essentially doesn't it mean 'I don't know' ...hmmm I don't know. I don't know many things but I do know this: when you feel like the world has beat you, that you have nothing left and no where to turn remember, tomarrow will come. Tomarrow gives you a new day and a new begining to right your wrongs, pick up where you left off, be a new person, and accomplish more goals. If tomarrow doesn't come, then it wasn't meant to be.
