CrackedA Poem by Alexia Rose
She was a crippled woman
But only her mind and heart were cracked Drowning in a pool of agony Bound by walls of regret and pain She was deceived by lies possessed by the snake's tongue She gives way to the mask Which casts a cloak over her raw identity Forged words spill from her lips Where innocence once spoke The sensitive touch of joy is now replaced by nothing More than a silent whisper A song of comfort that soothed her sorrow Was now lost for she was left alone... Stranded in a nonexistent dream
