MockingbirdA Poem by AlexDo you go where the mockingbird goes? Do you sing how the mockingbird sings? He sings a melody for you and me Little did we know Walking through the trees That we a had a mockingbird marching chief He hops from branch to branch Conducting the branches They sway on his command Conducting the deer They prance on his instruction Conducting the winds They whistle on his behalf The bird puffs his snowy chest His grey wings the color of storm Those inquisitive eyes welcoming our arrival The arrival to his haven, his home The mockingbird kingdom Mockingbird, oh mockingbird marching chief Sing me a sweet melody Let our love blossom Like the music you have created beautifully We write our names in stone On an old oak where you perch Mockingbird, oh mockingbird marching chief Conduct the forest once more © 2015 AlexFeatured Review
