Hush little sister

please don't cry

I know your sad

and I know why

I see the brusies on your arm

I know your alone

while dads at the bar

But you can't cry little sister

you must go hide

I see daddys car

and he's outside

he's cursing your name

but don't shed a tear

I know your scared but i'm not there

sshh! little sister he's right at the door

look at his shadow dark on the floor

I know they won't listen but just curl up tight

I promise little sister you're in my arms tonight!

Author's Note

the thing about this poem in case you didnt get it is that the elder sister was dead from abuse from her father and shes telling the little sister who is still alive that even though people won't listen she'll protect her so the little sister doesn't have to be scared
