childhood fears

childhood fears

A Poem by faint smile

Once upon a time about last year
I decided to grow up and conquer my fears
So I went to the ocean, cause I'm afraid of fish
Talked to him for a while and he granted me a wish
Then I went to the dessert, to see a snake
It turns out in the dessert they like to bake
Off to the forest to beat up a bear
But then I found out, they're nice and care
Back into town to bump heads with a clown
Untill I found out that they are funny, and I want them around
I flew into the sky cause I thought I wanted to punch a bird
Then I thought to myself how silly and absurd
In my room is my biggest fear, the monster under my bed
So I crawled under and what did I see?
NOTHING!! but I bumped my head!

Lovely, crazy silly ideas and thought of a child. Even when I watch and listen to them today, they bring out such simpleness, scared of the silliest things, and excited by the smallest of happiness..
Well captured!
