Red velvet

Red velvet

A Poem by faint smile

A blade to feed my starvation
My skin waiting with anticipation
A line of scarlet to stop the voices
reminding me of all my bad choices

A little deeper, let the pain seep out
A red river flowing, growing larger with doubt
Cut a little deeper, tattoo my skin
shedding off layers wearing thin

Move my wrist around, make sure its still connected
rinse off the cuts, so they won't get infected
clean off my steel friend, and put it back in its bed
look at the stain on my sleeve, the velvet red
