My TreeA Poem by Exa LectricWhat will a tree do for someone who's hurt?
She said those words and I fell apart Tears streamed down my red cheeks I ran down the hill and into the valley Where my tree of life grew unmoving All of my tree’s life it grew up to the stars As I leaned up against its large round trunk I let all my tears flow down into her roots My tree felt my pain wanting to help me As I wept for myself, my tree wept for me Lowering its branches from up with the stars My tree took away my pain, trapping it inside When the weeping willow cries .
