RainA Poem by Alexandra
I watched the skies,
As they turned red, What was once the moon's domain Was now the sanctuary of clouds, Hovering over us. I saw the lightning, So bright and sharp, I heard the thunder, So loud and clear, I felt the rain, So cold and soothing, as I stood alone in the dark. Rain, rain, How beautiful you are, With your lavishing winds And sonorous sounds, Your little drops of water, they trickled down my lips, to my tongue, You tasted magnificent. Oh how you intrigued my soul! I reached out to you, as I cried, Like a helpless child lost in an alley, And you showered upon me, With little mercy...you cleansed me, You savored me....you made me breathe once more. As I looked up to you again, With swollen eyes, The melancholy I saw, fading... The world weeped away it's sorrows, and with it's tears, It had washed away mine as well. © 2014 AlexandraReviews
