Fallen AngelA Poem by AlexandraMy life story. yes, this is my life story. I've hidden it for a long time. I guess i can't keep it in anymore. God knows how many times I cried when i read it while looking through my journal....Fallen Angel Fallen from the skies above, Lying flat beneath the clouds, Broken past the heavens bounds, The Fallen Angel.
Her only companion, the weeping sky, Watched her bleed and watched her cry, With nothing to do she closed her eyes, The dying Fallen Angel
The darkness slowly took her in, It healed her wounds and erased my sins, And waited for her recrudescence, The sleeping Fallen Angel.
She woke up, and to her surprise, Her wings had met their demise, No longer was she dressed in white, The poor Fallen Angel.
With all her heart the darkness she begged, To send her back to heaven, To which the darkness shook his head, The hopeless Fallen Angel.
“You can no longer sing the angelic song, Nor can you go back home, For this is where you truly belong, My dear Fallen Angel”
Brought up within its lonely world, The coldness inside, her heart it froze, Bound by shackles, she wept and dreamt, The broken Fallen Angel.
Alas one day, her dream came true, The heavens had offered her wings, And with those wings, out she flew, The free Fallen Angel.
But once out, into the light, Ultimate freedom her heart denied, She realized what really went wrong, The bewildered Fallen Angel.
Back within the world of lies, She met her fate once more, The conspiracies brought tears to her eyes, The shocked Fallen Angel
And with the heavenly blade, her wings She cut, and fell back down to the earth. She came crawling back to her place of rebirth, The betrayed Fallen Angel.
To accept her fate, she did not hesitate, For going back was unwise, And never will she make the same mistake, The lost Fallen Angel.
Like the evanescence of the morning mist, Into the darkness she faded away, She returned to her lonely nest, The forgotten Fallen Angel. © 2014 AlexandraReviews
