cityA Poem by alexandria.
i will like to look around
at the deep brown ribbon and silver green sparkles
and yes i'll smile with the boy who laughs at the way i move so slowly, some thing cupped in my two hands i will remember little faces framed in autumn-colored hair and stare at the tiny tic of a date to decode messages you would quickly realize as unmagically familiar at other times i will drop things to be picked up by strangers and notice fathers who misunderstand childhood the girl who didn't dress for work moves above us and a man comes down the stairs searching for my absent housemate, a concept of australia i will like to look around at things you are tired of seeing, and i will love them twice for you. © 2011 alexandria.Author's Note
