My feelings for today.

I envy the t-shirt you put on, and how it gets to wrap itself around your torso all day. 

 

In the winter months I envy that coat you wear, that gets to sheild your skin and keep you warm.

 

I envy the book you read before bed, gently holding it in your hands,

As your eyes never

Leave those frail pages.

 

I envy the way you look at a picture, analyzing every beautiful detail,

Longing to travel to that exact place at that exact time.

 

I envy the way you look at her, how everytime

It feels like the first time

You saw her.

 

I envy her, because you're hers.
