Those Who FlyA Poem by Alexandra RI want to see the world as those who fly do. They talk of the silky sun rippling like smooth honey in a waterfall sky. They say there’s a bird whose song is slippery with warm sugar and whose wings breath fire. They whisper about flowers with delicate petals dusted with fragrant spices and leaves that dance in the exotic winds with unquestionable grace. But for now, I see the world as those who walk do. © 2012 Alexandra R |
