It seems unanimous that summer has been and gone for another year and the clocks are set to go back as the nights get darker earlier and the temperature drops considerably over the next few months. The good news is there is still lots to look forward to with Halloween and Christmas (and Thanksgiving if you’re in the United States) are all coming up, but here are some ideas to keep you occupied on the days in between.for more information visit .

Cooking & Baking

When it’s freezing cold outside there is nothing better than warming things up inside, especially in the kitchen. So crack out the family recipe book and make some of your favourite winter warmer dishes especially hearty casseroles and a big batch of chilli. The delicious smells that fill your home are always comforting and will leave you salivating. Why not also cook some your favourite cakes and cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth as well.

TV

It is common to spend more time in front of the TV during the winter months which provides a great opportunity to catch up on our favourite TV shows and winter is also a big season for sport. By this point the English Premier League and NFL are both in full swing and should provide plenty of gripping entertainment during the colder season. Be sure to check out some of the best sports betting sites if you fancy placing a little wager on the action.

Relax

A perfect remedy for the winter blues is snuggling up on the sofa, under a blanket with a steaming mug of hot chocolate and a good book. Whether you’re re-reading an old favourite for the billionth time or a best seller that you’ve been meaning to get round to for ages, you’ll notice the hours soon fly by as you lose yourself in a fantasy world. Alternatively you can draw yourself a nice hot bath with all your favourite oils, scented candles and a relaxing soundtrack. The only problem is you won’t want to get out of it afterwards.

Play In The Snow

If you’re fortunate enough to get snow then why don’t get in touch with your inner child, round up some friends and go outside to play. Even though we all know that all the best intentions to build a snowman will quickly degenerate into a snowball fight, it’s all good wholesome fun. Then once you’ve finished you can retreat inside to a bowl of hot soup. .
