For Now

Sometimes, people break your heart.

Probably is enough

For now.

There’s a difference between

Love and desperation.

And if you’re interested,

I’m not interested in either.

The position of my head is

Under control.

Yours is flying away

But I’ll leave it

To the skies.

A smart man once said

That love is everything

Or something like that.

But I prefer to hide

From the waves.

Floating isn’t my specialty.

So, love me forever,

I’ll love you ‘til I’m tired.

Want me right now

And I’ll think about you later.

Forget about your heart

It’ll go on beating

For now.

Sometimes you are not in the right frame of mind to promise forever, but you know what? Sometimes loving someone till you are tired has to be enough because it is all you can offer honestly.
