Death

Death

A Story by Alene Parr
"

Possibly something I could put in a story? I kind of see it as part of a play. Regardless, it came out of my brain, so I decided to write it down.

"
"Death is what defines us."

"What do you mean?"

"Everything we do is about death. Everything."

"Well, that's-"

"No, it's true. Eat to avoid death. Sleep to avoid death. S**t to avoid death."

"Well, what about having kids?"

"We have kids because kids will carry on a tiny bit of ourselves, and as long as they carry that, we'll never be completely dead."

"What about watching movies? Telling jokes? Laughing?"

"We laugh to forget that we're gonna die."

"Oh."

Yes, i think the dialogue is definitely worth reading , and I hope you can tie it in with a story later on.

Good dialogue. Could stand alone as a piece of flash fiction.
