Itching

Itching

A Poem by Alene Parr

Itching to get out of

Its skin

But it’s stuck

Inside

Squirming and writhing

To no rhythm in particular

And it waits

For an opportunity

There’s one

But it’s gone

And another goes by too

And nothing is really

The way it should be

You are welcome...:)...................
I like the capricious feel of this, like poetry when you can't seem to find the right words....

What a whimsical poem. I love that you left it open, It could be an idea, an emotion, a thought or a butterfly. Keep it coming!
