Swing SetsA Poem by Alene ParrLife’s a set of swings, Alone in the wind. For all the joy it brings, Was left to rust again. The wind just keeps on swinging, And life just breathes in air. And how the swings will long, To swing without a care. And all the world’s a playground. The children harsh and cruel. And all their parents foolish, Hearts all cold as jewels. The wind just keeps on swinging, And life just breathes in air. And how the swings will long, To watch from nearer there. If all the lives are hoping, For only one more swing, Then life is like this swing set, And shares the joy it brings. The wind just keeps on swinging, And life just breathes in air. And how the swings will swing now, A mystery to bear. © 2013 Alene ParrAuthor's Note
