Leaving You Undressed

Leaving You Undressed

A Poem by Annette Lemma
"

A poem about autumn....really.

"

Take off your coat

Let it drop to the floor

Of the forest

And your scarf as well

Let me see all of your curves

And angles

You are darker than I imagined

And mysterious

Black and white becomes you

Even more than your wardrobe

Of crimson

and maize

and sienna

It's time for us to spend some time

Huddled together

Me sitting on your limbs

You lifting and holding me

Higher than I could have imagined

Take off your coat

And reveal yourself to me

Before I have to leave
