Endless Haze

Endless Haze

A Poem by Verina Blanche

An endless haze,

a constant blur

of life rushing past me

It's going too fast

and I can't keep up.

Life shouldn't be this hard to grasp

But wait

I'm the one who's moving.

The world is waiting

for me to slow down

and take hold of life.

Truly elegant and yet so true! How often do we zip through life and complain that we can't keep up?! The ending was magnificent.

Excellent, Verina. I really believed life was rushing past you, but then...

"But wait." (Set apart, as this line is, those two words really stand out.)

The world is standing still, you're moving too fast for it! Great stuff, Verina, I love your up-and-at-'em attitude.

Great poem, Verina, but you left me wanting more!! Maybe a tad more description of the endless haze... you know, the rush you feel, or the confusion... This is a great write, but there is so much more you can do with it!
