 deep within I am strong

   deep within I want to be protected

     deep within I want to be loved and love

        deep within I burn for you

this is awesome, even though it is short, it has a strong voice that resonates throughout the poem. I especially like the last line.
You might want to make it longer, because it has potential and if you keep going with the same tone that would be good, but don't force lines just to make it longer because that would ruin it.

Some advice is to add specific images, things that happened in the poem, description of the object of the poem, etc.
