Freedom to Blow

Freedom to Blow

A Poem by Alea Faith Ridgley

Walking alone down a straight path
No one around
No one in sight
The breeze blows softly against my skin
The air feels cold
Blows past me quickly.

I wonder why you can't see the wind
You feel it
But you can't see it
Oh, how jealous I am of the wind
Invisible, fast, and always on the go
Never in one place
Not told where to go or what to do
A free willing spirit.
