The BaptistA Poem by AlbatrossLosing wellBorn of women Born of rocky turmoil The world laughs among itself Born of the same rocky turmoil but created apart I float Set aside from the worldliness to point I control the seas with my hover My tides baptize the shores of your land I glow with the honey of creation Caught in an orbit bigger than myself I leapt for joy spinning inside my cosmic womb at the vision of your rise Sun, you brought the true light My honey glow grabs at your luminosity and fails I wax and diminish behind the world’s shadow that you cast on my craterous face It is well as I am eclipsed and imprisoned and beheaded for the sake of the Sunrise.© 2014 Albatross |
