Altercation With My BodyA Poem by Nankya YudayaWhen i need an excuse not to workout but feel guilty for breaking my own routine
'My body rants'
I do the heavy lifting even when i can't continue we're a team you need to do your part just get off your lazy butt and go workout stop writing those resolutions act more and promise less those sacks of candy can't be what you promised yourself or me lousing around and engaging cravings is all you know i wish i'd act independently you'd be out of work 'I interject' Listen body i do the heavy lifting too the dumb bells was it your idea i had to pant on a treadmill yet i came to my own rescue we're a team you say but i do the feeling the panicking when you gain help me out here too i need a break just stop bulging 'Body rants on' the dumb bells you say who'd count that as heavy lifting am glad it wasn't my idea that rant sucked get your act together sitting in front of the TV better half of the day bowls of popcorn binge eating and you blame me for bulging what do you expect am the receiver in this relationship learn to make better decisions and stop blaming me for your laziness or my next reminder will be on a hospital bed 'Me' Am speechless! © 2018 Nankya YudayaAuthor's Note
