I Knew You'd BiteA Poem by Nankya YudayaWhen your most relied on friendship dissolves into acrimony
Our camaraderie was one of a kind
people don't come that easy neither do they stay that loyal gone are the days mate I knew you'd bite! Those lonely nights when you had your heart broken when the world had turned a cold shoulder your rants would be heightened my warm embraces came at no cost I knew you'd bite! All burden i would turn to my dear friend you played empathetic to my face the footnotes behind my back told a different story it wasn't that many times i needed you but I knew you'd bite! Years of solidness wiped out in a second you came too easy our friendship was in sync, so i thought! what you took from me you can never return neither can i ever offer again I knew you'd bite! Sorry looks pathetic on you a bit late don't you think my genuineness wasn't worth the experience but am glad i knew you mate because now i can never repeat that mistake I still knew you'd bite! How did i miss the introduction too blinded to learn your middle name - "betrayal" ignored my intuition -i knew you'd bite but i gave our friendship ground to thrive! © 2018 Nankya YudayaAuthor's Note
