The Soldier In Her ....

The Soldier In Her ....

A Poem by Nankya Yudaya
"

World heroes

"

The Soldier In Her….

She reads hard for an A.

Her strength commands respect.

As feeble as the world deems her be.

The soldier in her rages on.

Sits on a competitive round table with males.

Her valor renders the room speechless.

Amidst stereotyping she dominates.

The soldier in her rages on.

Plays father and mother to the kids.

Holds a reputable position in society.

Still finds time for herself.

The fire in her stays unmatched.

The soldier in her rages on.

Hurting and grinding.

The world awaits an emotional aggravation.

Straightens her crown like the queen she is.

Majestically reigns to the world’s dismay

The soldier in her rages on.

Powerful and true words written. Women had always been the strength of the family. Thank you Nankya for sharing the amazing poetry.

The word soldier is often associated with males. I appreciate that you connected the word to a woman in order to illustrate her strength.
