Heavy Lies the Crown

Heavy Lies the Crown

A Poem by Alastor
"

I've realized that wanting more for someone can only strip your life of joy. Some people just don't want help.

"
So heavy the heart
It bows to the weight
Of Guilt we depart
From year long hate

So heavy the soul
Be weary the curse
And all that we know
Will strip us of mirth

Within...

Heavy lies the crown
Screams won't make a sound
Seems to me profound
Heavy lies the crown

Sinking further down
Sins stacked by the pound
Ode, to love unfound
Heavy lies the crown

So heavy my feet
To trek on my path
You've made me so weak
And filled me with wrath

So heavy the head
Sick from all the shame
Of years in your bed
It all feels the same

To you...

Heavy lies the crown
Screams won't make a sound
Seems to me profound
Heavy lies the crown

Sinking further down
Sins stacked by the pound
Ode, to love unfound
Heavy lies the crown
