I Wish

I wish that my words
would flow like music
Express my thoughts
through strings and tones

Paragraphs through bars and measures
So you would know you're not alone

I wish my voice, would play
and play
And show you beauty
in every day

That notes, and octaves
Lead Crescendo's in ways
That would show you the emotions
I hold within

Guilt
Regret
Fear
Love

But no words can hold such tonality
With you so inhibited
And my voice is but mute
When it pleases you
