WORDS AND TRUTH

WORDS AND TRUTH

A Poem by alanwgraham
"

Read between the lines, always.

"
Words are daggers,
to impale nuggets of truth.
Or spades, to bury secrets
in the forests of deceit.
Read the man,
not his words.

Read the man, not his words...
Never in anytime in history has that lesson been more sorely needed. My heart breaks when I look at what has become of my Homeland.
Wise words, my friend. This old drifter thanks you for sending this one out into the world.

Jeepers, read the man. Our pal Boris wouldn't know truth even if it bit his ever lying arse, guess though many a person in power are the same with never a straight answer or eye to eye contact.

This wonderful short poem says a lot Alan. People say things they don't mean; they lie, they cheat, they hate, they can even love and not mean it. A perfect example of deceit, secrets, lies, meaningless words
is our dictator; if you read the man, it's even worse than his words, and that goes for so many people; what they say may not be the persona they really are. "don't judge a book by its cover"... corny but true!
