the inner skin

may swerve a course

to rasp a voice

from too much talk.

when

clutching straws

have clung

too long

and rocks can

weigh me down

 

with metaphoric

spade in hand

no one else

to take a stand

i get down

deep

below the crust

and reach

the inner glow..
