~Reposeful Dark~

~Reposeful Dark~

A Poem by alan peter kelly

reposeful dark

gentle light arrives
on tide

nought else shines but
lighthouse cogntives

no clock on wall to tell the tell tale
signs of time

no faux lights and twisted knife
vaguaries in lies

no voices heard to quell discordant
bone of grievance at their every tone

tongues flicking with spittled grit
sequestered

remote from all
the smell of s**t

only moments
i am alone

is when
i'm not

alone

People suck.

That is the message I got from this and if that was your intent, I quite agree.

I am the consumate loner. My fantasy is to retire to a small shack/cabin by a stream in Montana; a place you cannot get to without an off-road vehicle and cannot stay unless you are willing to shoot a bear to save your life.

I am happily married, but to be honest, my husband is not in this fantasy. In the end, my happiness will be because I am finally by myself.

ohhh i do like the reworking of this. i have to say the structuring adds an awful lot of power to something that holds a great deal of it to begin with..

beautifully reworked...i absolutely love this piece...the sharp bite of honesty is capable piercing thru to the very essence sequestered within the mind of the ignorant...and this...is a blatantly honest piece...love Love LOVE it!!!
