The Real Me

The Real Me

A Poem by smilemore

Life can be scary,

you can’t always be who you want to be.

I want to show you who I am,

This secret side no one knows about.

Im scared of many things,

Waves crashing on my dreams,

Falling from so high or out of your heart,

Not being good enough for the one I love most.

I want you to know all of me,

but I’m scared.

What if you don't like who I am?

I am afraid to lose your love.

Everyday is a struggle,

To show you my best self.

I’m trying so hard to be,

who you want me to be.

Im a mystery,

You've grown to see.

I hope you'll still love,

The real me when you meet.

I think at the core we all have those feelings no matter how "confident" we present ourselves it is in that knowledge that you can find your own confidence when it comes to those feelings when searching connections with others on any level:) The real you is just as flawed and just as perfect in them as anyone you will ever know:) a very sincere expression Smiles
